Eligibility Criteria

Ms. Wheelchair Tennessee

  • women ages 21-60
  • who use a wheelchair as a PRIMARY source for daily mobility
  • are residents of Tennessee
  • possess good moral character
  • marital status is not a consideration
Junior Miss Wheelchair Tennessee
  • young women ages 13-20 who meet the above criteria
Little Miss Wheelchair Tennessee
  • girls ages 6-12 who meet the above criteria
Entry Fee
Contestants typically obtain financial sponsors to cover the entry fee. The Board can provide guidance for obtaining sponsors.

  • Ms. Wheelchair Tennessee $300 Junior Miss Wheelchair Tennessee $175
  • Little Miss Wheelchair Tennessee $ 50

Judging Categories

35%
  • Accomplishments (since the onset of the contestant's mobility challenge)

35%
  • Communication Skills (this includes ability to communicate with the media, public relations and public speaking skills, and advocacy for the physically challenged population)

20%
  • Self-Perception/Projection (poise, demeanor, self confidence, appropriate attire & personal presentation)

10%
  • Ability to obtain financial sponsors and participate in the National Program
